Tremor's Trembling Terrors

Tremor Troll trembled in his __1__. His nightlight was __2__, and his parents had forbidden him from leaving any other light burning. Tremor wasn’t proud of it, but he was __3__ of the dark.
Tremor was __4__ enough to know that his fears were not reasonable. Turning a light on would not __5__ the chances that a human was lurking under his bed. His toy wolverine was no more likely to come to life and eat him in the dark than in the daylight.
Tremor pulled the covers over his head. Logic also told him that this maneuver did not make him __6__. “I can’t __7__ under these blankets,” he thought. He pulled the covers back, allowing his head to be exposed to the unseen terrors of the night.
It’s strange how sounds seem to be __8__ by the darkness. The most innocent events that are not noticed in the light, seem __9__ and __10__. An ant scurried across the floor and Tremor screamed, “Help, they’re coming to get me!”
