Confusing Facts

Beware of facts you don’t need to consider!

1.  These are Cheryl’s pets: 4 cats, 2 parrots, 3 dogs, and 4 ducks. How
many pet birds does Cheryl have?

2.  David runs five miles every day. Then he swims for two miles. David
has already run three miles today. How many more miles will he run
today?

3.  Dennis read three books on Saturday. Crystal read two books on
Saturday and two books on Sunday. How many books did Crystal read
on both days?

4.  Brittany had 24 rare coins and 53 rare stamps. She sold 10 of her
rare coins to Jamie. How many rare coins did she have left?

5.  Ashley became 10 years old 8 days ago.  How many years old was
she 3 years ago?

6.  Stephen has three footballs but no softballs. If his cousin gives him a
new softball, how many footballs will Stephen  have?
